Born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria. Art has always been a part of Maria’s life, surprising her parents with beautiful wall murals (aka scribbles on the dining room walls) at the tender age of 4.
Maria’s work tends to gravitate towards the expression of emotion through touch and the complex reaction a simple touch can elicit within one self.
Viewers are invited to be part of the intimate moments of her subjects, to experience a sliver of time where a touch can mean so much.
